Expect a Huge Line-Up, Plus Exclusive Specials & Offers
Record Store Day on April 18th is a global moment built around independent record stores, the people behind the counters, the collectors, the communities they’ve spent years shaping. The exclusive drops, the early queues, the shared obsession with sound in its physical form.
At Mare Street Market, that means one thing: Stranger Than Paradise celebrating their 8th Record Store Day in the market – and we’re going all in.
One of our longest-standing vendors, and very much the heart of our music offering, they take the lead on what is, without question, one of their biggest days of the year – bringing the full energy of Record Store Day into the space.

All Day, On Rotation
Shop Times
Stranger Than Paradise open from 8:00, coming in with a massive drop of new vinyl – limited releases, hard-to-find pressings, and the kind of records people plan their day around.
Last year, the line wrapped outside before doors, a quiet signal that this isn’t just another morning. Get there early!
DJ Times
From 10:00, the sound spills out beyond the shop.
A heavy line-up of DJs takes over, playing live throughout the day, a rolling soundtrack built by the people who know it best. Including a long anticipated performance from Gilles Peterson, that you just don’t want to miss!
A Full Day of Offers & In-House Moments
While Stranger Than Paradise do what they do best, we’ll be keeping everything else moving:
The coffee hatch open early for coffee, breakfast sandwiches and beers on tap
