Welcoming euro go go at Mare Street Market King's Cross

Mare Street Market King’s Cross had the pleasure of hosting euro go go and a group of leading global retail industry leaders for a day of conversation, exploration, and shared insight into the future of retail and placemaking.

The gathering brought together voices from across the sector to explore how retail environments are evolving – and how spaces that blend food, culture, community and commerce are shaping the next chapter of the industry.

Welcome Drinks and a Walk Through Coal Drops Yard

The day began with welcome drinks on our mezzanine floor, where guests gathered inside Mare Street Market before setting out for a guided walk around Coal Drops Yard.

The tour offered attendees the chance to explore the wider retail ecosystem of King’s Cross and gain insight into how the neighbourhood has developed into one of London’s most vibrant retail and community destinations.

As the area continues to evolve, it stands as a strong example of how thoughtful placemaking can bring together retail, hospitality, culture and public space.

A Market Lunch Among Independent Food and Retail Vendors

Following the walk, guests returned to Mare Street Market for a large group lunch downstairs.

Surrounded by the energy of the market, attendees were able to experience the space alongside a number of our independent retail vendors.

It created a moment to dine, explore and shop within the market itself – offering a firsthand look at the kind of multifaceted retail environment that is increasingly shaping the future of the industry.

“Creating Spaces People Choose” – A Conversation on the Future of Retail

The afternoon continued just across the way at Samsung KX, where our founder Marc Francis-Baum joined a panel discussion on the theme “Creating Spaces People Choose.”

The conversation brought together a range of perspectives on community-driven retail, the importance of multi-layered spaces, and how the sector can evolve to meet the changing expectations of modern consumers.

It was an inspiring day filled with thoughtful conversation, industry insight and shared curiosity about what the next chapter of retail might look like.

A big thank you to Eurogogo, Samsung, and everyone who joined us for such an engaging and forward-thinking day.
